What is the API?
We have been working hard with some of the UK's leading software vendors to make registering in the UKCRC Tissue Directory easier.
Software programmes using the API can register sample collections on the Tissue Directory automatically. This removes the need for people to enter their data manually. This functionality is only available from software vendors or in-house software teams that have specifically implemented it.
This page sets out who is working with us and their current stage of implementation.
Collaborative and pre-competitive
This work has been collaborative and pre-competitive, which means we have worked with as many software providers as have wanted to work with us. We are incredibly thankful to all these companies and in-house teams who have done this for the greater good, making it easier for the sample resources who use their software to register in the Tissue Directory.

My provider is not on the list
Please get in touch and let us know if your software provide is not on our list. We can help them connect and use the API.
We cannot pay any vendor or in-house team to do the necessary work, but we can provide support to help them connect.
